For the first time, MCS has been able to provide a daily cooked lunch for all the children at Summer School. This is thanks to the generosity of businesses in Montserrat. Each business has agreed to provide a lunch on one day each week for the 50 children. Businesses are Chit Chat Bakery, Good eats Restaurant, Dip and Altheas Kitchen, Olveston House, Summer Breeze Restaurant and Time Out.
Our grateful thanks to Evelyn Searle and family, Chef Glenworth Prince, Althea and Lennie, Margaret and Sarah, Devika Beni and David Trixie Duberry. We are also most grateful to the businesses who have sponsored the lunches: Ashoks Supermarket, Victors Supermarket, Rams Emdee, Angelo’s Supermarket, Aravins Enterprises, The Good Samaritan, Kings Supermarket and The Umpire.
A number of businesses also kindly provided toys, games, books, pens, paper, paints etc for the children. These include Karishma Stores, Johnnies Mecca and BBC Radio and TV. A huge thank you to all who have helped to make this years Summer School a success.
The Montserrat Children’s Society will hold its annual summer school programme from July 15 through to August 23, 2019 at the Look Out Nursery School under the theme: The world around us.
The summer school will start at 8 a.m to 4.00 p.m daily. A maximum of 50 children will be allowed, therefore, interested persons are asked to contact the coordinator Denelta Weekes for registration of your child. Additionally, persons who have children with special needs are also welcomed. This year, the children will attend summer school for free. Hot lunch will be provided each day for the children.
Details of transportation will be provided at a later date. We are looking forward to another successful summer programme with your children.
